Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Travis International (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davy Bauwens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis International had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Davy Bauwens has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Horrible takedown by Bauwens or perhaps it was just good defense by International which made him look bad.
Bauwens doesn't succeed with the takedown

and International counters with a crisp one two that drops Bauwens! International thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bauwens to his feet! Bauwens is in big trouble!

Bauwens shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. International defends it nicely.
Travis International has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davy Bauwens.
International dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bauwens. That did some damage!
International fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bauwens looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bauwens gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! International gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

I think Karvaton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kvelertak. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!
