The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li tries to clinch but Steel is having none of it.
Li plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Li is looking to slow Steel down with leg kicks.
Li throws a half hearted mid kick.
Steel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Steel is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Li has managed to free his arm - good work.

Steel is working for a submission of some sort.

Steel is looking for a kimura but Li is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Steel to get the leverage.

Steel is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Li to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Li shrugs it off.

Steel jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Li manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Steel thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Li is looking to regain half guard here but Steel keeps moving and retains side control.

Steel is working to tighten is grip on Li's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Li has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Steel is really squeezing tight and eventually Li passes out! Steel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
