The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patos dives in and grabs Hess's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hess pushes down on Patos's head and hops out.
Hess throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Patos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hess misses with a head kick.
Patos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hess but Hess pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Patos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Patos throws a front kick aimed at Hess's knee but Hess avoids it well.
Patos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Patos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hess counters with a two punch combo.

Hess clinches up with Patos and pushes him back against the cage.

Hess looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hess tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Patos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hess wants to control but Patos is keeping him busy.
Hess thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Patos misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hess working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

With the fighters up against the cage, Mou throws an elbow but misses.

It looks like Gegard Mou has been cut.
Sirichok manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Sirichok tries to land knees in the clinch but Mou avoids the damage to the body.

Sirichok tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mou avoids it.
Sirichok gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The cut above Gegard Mou's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Mou should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Mou is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sirichok is keeping busy.
The referee is keeping an eye on Sirichok - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Mou wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mou misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sirichok has a couple of punches blocked by Mou.

Gegard Mou's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Mou blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Sirichok creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mou's defenses.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gegard Mou's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
