Conrad kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rider Part II. Charles comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Muddy Waters- Hoochie Coochie Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Charles is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed scores with a head kick. Saunders tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Elliot Saunders has been cut.
Elliot Saunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed throws a nice inside leg kick.
Saunders jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Speed throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Saunders shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Speed pinned against the cage. Speed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saunders jabs Speed to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saunders connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Speed thumps Saunders with a low kick.
Speed bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Speed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Saunders manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Saunders throws an off balance right hand
and Speed makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Saunders really felt that one!
Saunders thows a left - swing and a miss!
Saunders chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Speed can pounce on him.
Saunders looks winded!
Saunders doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Saunders shoots in but Speed avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Saunders circles away from the clinch attempt.
That kick from Speed tenderised Saunders's leg. Saunders is trying to keep his angry face on.
Speed moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Speed there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Saunders throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Speed's waist but Speed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Saunders off to one side.
Daniel Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elliot Saunders.
Saunders looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Speed lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Saunders backs up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Speed lands a big head kick that sends Saunders tumbling to the mat! Speed takes a step backwards and waves Saunders back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Speed thows a body kick. Saunders tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Speed closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Saunders! Speed dives in looking to finish! Saunders is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
