The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Liu counters by moving into the clinch.
Liu wants to break free but Castro has control.

Castro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Liu.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Liu.
Liu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Castro but Castro pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hoshino sends Sharpeye crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hoshino is motioning to the referee to let Sharpeye up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoshino digs a good body shot into Sharpeye's ribs.
Hoshino walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sharpeye drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Hoshino swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sharpeye's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fantuzzi lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Deyna goes down and covers up as Fantuzzi starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gomi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bann's guard.
Gomi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
