And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Marabou!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fossmo wants to clinch up but Marabou keeps it at a distance.
Fossmo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Marabou is fending him off so far but Fossmo persists. Nope, Marabou circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Helge Fossmo has been cut.
Fossmo moves forwards but Marabou connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marabou pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Fossmo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sloppy strikes there by Fossmo.
Marabou managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Fossmo.
Fossmo misses with the ground and pound.

Marabou wants to get back to his feet.

Fossmo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Marabou defend it? Fossmo steps over the head and cranks it - Marabou is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fossmo!

The crowd seem to be enjoying Lafleur's choice of entrance music: Karma to Burn - Two Times . The key to victory for Nova Uniao has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adrien Lafleur!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uniao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lafleur. That did some damage!
Lafleur shoots in for a double leg but Uniao sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A shot to the liver by Uniao. Beautiful body shot.
Uniao throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lafleur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nova Uniao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lafleur takes one on the button.

Uniao moves into the clinch successfully.
Lafleur goes for a takedown attempt but Uniao pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Uniao fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Uniao fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lafleur has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lafleur tries to keep at a distance but Uniao has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lafleur wants to take the fight to the mat but Uniao manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Nova Uniao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adrien Lafleur.
Lafleur is looking for a takedown.
Lafleur has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Uniao is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uniao digs a right hand underneath Lafleur's ribcage. Lafleur let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Uniao ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Uniao no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Uniao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lafleur's guard.

Lafleur is looking to cinch up a triangle. Uniao throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lafleur's body to avoid the submission. Lafleur has instead reached around Uniao's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lafleur arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Adrien Lafleur!
