The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zanotto jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chelios ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zanotto moves away.
Chelios on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Chelios uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zanotto.
Zanotto scores with a nice strike.
Chelios takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Chelios looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Chelios ducks under a wild hook from Zanotto.

Zanotto shoots in and bounces Chelios off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Chev Chelios wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Zanotto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chelios.
Chelios throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Zanotto smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Zanotto closes the distance looking to clinch
and Chelios counters with a low kick, right behind Zanotto 's knee.
Zanotto misses with a left hand
and Chelios counters with an inside leg kick.
Chelios swats away the attempt to clinch by Zanotto.
Zanotto scores with a one two! Chelios had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Chelios throws a shot from downtown. Zanotto moves away and avoids it.
Good exchange - Zanotto coming out on top.
Nice uppercut there from Zanotto.
Zanotto has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Chelios fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A combination from Chelios does no damage.
Zanotto on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chelios. Chelios obviously looking to wear him down.
Zanotto misses with a body shot.
Zanotto throws a lazy right hand but Chelios sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Zanotto throws a jab when Chelios was well out of range.
Chelios lands a nice leg kick that just misses Zanotto's sensitive parts.
Ben Zanotto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Chelios throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice defenses there by Chelios.
Zanotto throws a lazy uppercut
and Chelios counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chelios moves out of range of the strikes.

Chelios walks into a stiff left hand from Zanotto.
Zanotto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chelios bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chelios cracks Zanotto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zanotto rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chelios counters with an outside leg kick.
Zanotto might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Chelios scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Zanotto is rocked!
Zanotto misses with an uppercut. Chelios saw that one coming.
Zanotto is still on wobbly legs! Can Chelios finish him?
Zanotto misses with a few strikes there.
Chelios slips under a jab.
Zanotto seems to have recovered his senses.
Chelios staying out of range there.
Good leg kick by Chelios there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zanotto lands a right hook to the body.
Chelios throws a body kick that misses.
Zanotto lands with a right hand.
Chelios takes a swing at Zanotto's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chev Chelios will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Zanotto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chelios.
Chelios rushes Zanotto with punches - Zanotto moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Zanotto goes down! Chelios follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chev Chelios!
Chev Chelios retains his middleweight title!
Chev Chelios decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
