With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borthol Grynworst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jon Nix!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A combination from Grynworst does no damage.
Grynworst misses the jab.
Grynworst loads up on a big right hand but Nix slips the punch.
Grynworst lands with a nice body punch.
Grynworst misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nix.
Nix takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Nix shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Nix wants to get back to his feet.
Grynworst desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Grynworst blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nix.

Grynworst is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nix's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nix's back!
Grynworst lands a shot to the head.

Nix turns into Grynworst and is now in his guard.
Nix with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grynworst is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Nix frees his head nicely. Oh but Grynworst has switched to an armbar! Nix is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

A very excited looking Borthol Grynworst rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
