Horrible takedown attempt by Villasenor or perhaps it was just good defense by Barbosa, which made it look bad.
Barbosa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Villasenor has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Django lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Django tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mason swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Crown closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Crown postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Crown goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, De Struicao has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Crown but great work by De Struicao.

That was a close round but I would say that Dominick De Struicao will probably get the nod.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
