Monster shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aoki but Aoki pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Aoki finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
That kick from Aoki tenderised Monster's leg. Monster is trying to keep his angry face on.
Monster is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Monster tries to clinch up but Aoki circles away and keeps his distance.

Monster drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aoki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Monster has Aoki in his guard.

Monster has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aoki is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Monster.

This one could be over very soon! Aoki goes limp - he's gone! Monster jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
