The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dawson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dawson throws a push kick but Pu slaps the foot to one side.

Pu instigates a clinch.
Pu dodges an elbow strike from Dawson.
Pu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dawson.
Dawson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dawson looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Dawson has clasped his hands together around Pu's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Mike Dawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dawson throws a front kick aimed at Pu's knee but Pu avoids it well.

Pu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dawson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dawson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pu rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dawson's guard! Nice work there by Pu!

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Dawson will probably get the nod.

Dawson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pu tries to clinch but Dawson is having none of it.

Pu has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Pu avoids the head kick by Dawson.

Pu cracks Dawson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dawson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pu finish him?
