The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Stewart throws a body kick that misses
and Hing Jr finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Hing Jr moves into the clinch.
Stewart wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stewart is trying to push Hing Jr away but Hing Jr has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hing Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hing Jr showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hing Jr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hing Jr is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stewart can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hing Jr! Submission of the night perhaps?

Johnson slips an arm under Branton chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Johnson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Johnson is squeezing on Branton like an anaconda would it's prey. Branton fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Tapettava looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bruny is fending him off so far but Tapettava persists. Nope, Bruny circles away and we're back to standing.

Tapettava manages to get his head free but now Bruny has transitioned to an armbar! Tapettava grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Bruny! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
