The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rouge misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rouge lands with a kick to the temple. Brown shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Cooter Brown has been cut.
Rouge throws a lazy head kick

and Brown counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Rouge can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brown controls the pace.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! Rouge is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rouge manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Rouge's guard.

Brown is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Rouge looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gilmore feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Maruo is looking to stand up but Gilmore isn't so interested in that idea.
Gilmore wants to control from the top but Maruo keeps moving.

Maruo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gilmore cranks the arm and Maruo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Maruo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Boone landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Boone pushes off an throws an elbow but Church leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Church is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Boone pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Boone with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Boone tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Boone misses with a knee strike.
Boone comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
