The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cherry crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Richards - the referee stops the clock and Cherry gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Richards. Cherry manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Richards doesn't manage to clinch there - Cherry circles away.
Richards scores with a jab. Cherry acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Cherry has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alan Sansing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen UT Texas Fight Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Alan Sansing has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Alan Sansing seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams scores with a decent looking hook.
A slow jab from Williams misses its intended target.
Williams misses with a hook. Sansing ducked under it nicely.
Sansing moves away from the strike by Williams.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Williams has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Sansing throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Williams scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sansing throws a left and a right that both miss
and Williams counters with a three punch combo that has Sansing backing up. Sansing nods at Williams to acknowledge the strikes.
Williams lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sansing's sensitive parts.

Sansing definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Williams might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Folignus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rasp's guard.

Folignus is nestled in close to Rasp, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Folignus lands with a hook. Rasp tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rasp keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rasp is looking to wear down Folignus with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Rasp throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Folignus's waist but Folignus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rasp off to one side.

Rasp feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rasp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Folignus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bv Rasp will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fortunado drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Marabou's head, knocking him out cold! Fortunado is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
