The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giorgio checks a leg kick.
Giorgio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wooten tries to avoid it but Giorgio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wooten to the ground. Wooten escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ward lands a jab.
BJ on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jay Dee BJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ward gets tackled into the cage by BJ. BJ maintains the clinch.
BJ is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ward to keep the fight standing.
Ward tries a body shot but BJ blocks it.
Ward connects with a nasty looking knee right to BJ's face.

BJ jumps guard and drags Ward to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ward postures up in BJ's guard and throws a big left but BJ blocks it.

BJ working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ward doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ward manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Morrell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Percy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Morrell has Percy in his guard.

Morrell has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Percy defend it? Morrell steps over the head and cranks it - Percy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Morrell!
