The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Fist or perhaps it was just good defense by Locke, which made it look bad.

Fist has Locke up against the cage in a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Locke has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fist successfully pulls guard.
Locke trying to control but Fist is working from the bottom.
Fist is trying to keep Locke in close.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rotten crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pow - the referee stops the clock and Rotten gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pow. Rotten manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Rotten's coach down at Sun Ra and his Arkestra's training camp was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rotten's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
