Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Borg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Severus Ignotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borg comes to the cage accompanied by Feel my pain - Mike Tyson. Severus Ignotus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borg swings for the body but Ignotus moves out of range.
Ignotus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Borg moves away.
Borg definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Borg lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ignotus will feel that in the morning.
Ignotus takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A head kick misses from Borg.
Ignotus looks to land a combination but Borg avoids it well.
Ignotus's coach down at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ignotus's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Some wild striking there from Ignotus.
That kick from Borg tenderised Ignotus's leg. Ignotus is trying to keep his angry face on.
Borg throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ignotus throws a right hand that Borg ducks under and follows up with a left that Borg also avoids with ease.
Borg thumps Ignotus with a low kick.
Ignotus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Borg circles away quickly and effectively.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Borg keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Borg lands with a slapping head kick.

Borg lands a big head kick that sends Ignotus tumbling to the mat! Borg takes a step backwards and waves Ignotus back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ignotus is rocked!
Borg cracks Ignotus with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ignotus falls to his knees and Borg doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bjorn Borg!
Bjorn Borg decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Gilly throws a good cross that connects.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quick working over Gilly with some ground and pound. Gilly looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Quick in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gilly tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Quick!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Clinched against the cage, Polden lands a big elbow that drops Salazar! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Salazar is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy McNulty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNulty keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Askren shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Askren works his way into side control.
McNulty wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Askren sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McNulty is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McNulty pushes Askren away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Askren gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Jon Askren tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
