The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Carlton is out of range.
Silva looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Silva misses with an attempted mid kick.
Silva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Carlton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've been informed that Silva has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carlton avoids the body shot from Silva.

Carlton closes the distance and clinches.
Carlton misses with a shot to the kidneys.

It looks like Daniel Silva has been cut.

Carlton drops his hands momentarily and Silva takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Silva lands with a big left! Carlton is wobbled badly! Silva comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Carlton to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
