The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Reznor pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jenkins throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Reznor.

It looks like Achiles Reznor has been cut.
Reznor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.
Reznor closes the distance and clinches up with Jenkins, looking for a takedown. Reznor pushes Jenkins against the cage but Jenkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Achiles Reznor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jenkins counters with a left and a right that hurts Reznor! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Jenkins jumps into full mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ward connects with a body shot.
No luck for Walters with that takedown attempt.

Walters shoots for a double leg takedown but Ward sprawls well. He's pushed Walters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ward has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ward throws a leg kick which misses Walters's front leg but catches the back leg as Walters tries to avoid it.

Walters shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walters showed some decent athleticism there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
