The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rodriguez.

Lockheart tries to sprawl but Rodriguez drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lockheart is looking for a sweep. Rodriguez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lockheart manages to get to full guard.
Lockheart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lockheart is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Morbid Conditioning, Trans, Esc School $1000 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Lockheart might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rodriguez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Lockheart is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rodriguez to the mat. Rodriguez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Gordon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gordon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Page on the side of the head.
Gordon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gordon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Page attempts a counter takedown but Gordon avoids it well and moves away.
Gordon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Page has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gordon.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Page in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Page has an Americana. Gordon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Page is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Page hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
