We've been told by Taraki's head coaches at Warrior MMA and Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Taraki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sapp can do to turn this around?

Sapp throws a good cross that connects.
Ismail Taraki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sapp feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Taraki sprawling to the canvas! Taraki rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Sapp finish him?!

Taraki is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sapp drops Taraki with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Taraki looks back up at him and smiles so Sapp waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Taraki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sapp throws a series of punches but Taraki moves out of range.
Taraki gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Sapp gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Souza goes for a double leg but Hopper avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Hopper continues to drive forward.
Souza scores with a nice head shot.
Hopper connects with a right hand. Souza shakes it off.
Souza misses with a body kick.
A jab from Hopper does it's job there.
Hopper darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hopper bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Souza's head.
Hopper swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Souza.

Hopper darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Souza's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Hopper before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Costea Dinescu was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Dinescu throws a head kick that misses.
Dinescu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dinescu slips a jab from Backlund.
Dinescu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dinescu lands a lovely overhand right.
Dinescu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Backlund has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA New York in the buildup to the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dinescu connects with a right that clearly hurt Backlund. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Dinescu proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Backlund collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Adam feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Adam wants to stand but Elsner is controlling his posture from full guard.

Elsner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Adam defends well.

Elsner gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Elsner apologises and we restart here on the feet.
