Ortiz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ortiz is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Reigns just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Ortiz has gone limp and this one is over!

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Elves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Warhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Elves might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Korn - Coming Undone. The crowd seem to be enjoying Warhead's choice of entrance music: Metal Head. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Warhead throws a series of strikes that have Elves backpedaling.
Warhead fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Elves avoids it really well and circles away.
Elves shoots in looking for a takedown but Warhead manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Elves's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Warhead drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Warhead wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Elves, who protects the arm well.
Elves is not content to let Warhead control the position.
