Yoshida has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Echsner is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Yoshida yanks on the arm and Echsner is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Yoshida.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Hardy had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Perez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hardy tries to avoid it but Perez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hardy to the ground. Hardy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hardy clobbers Perez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hardy lands a nice shot that snaps Perez's head back.
Perez walks into a stiff left hand from Hardy.
Perez is looking to clinch.
Perez fails to land with a series of punches.
An attempted straight right counter from Hardy misses the target.
Hardy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Perez shoots and misses
and Hardy counters with a stiff right hand.
Hardy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Perezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hardy scores with a jab.
Perez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hardy pinned against the cage. Hardy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brian Hardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pascual Perez.
Perez looks winded!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hardy lands a big uppercut and Perez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Perez looks OK. Hardy waves Perez back to his feet!

Perez is rocked!

Crack! Hardy connects with the perfect overhand right and Perez falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Hardy!
