The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dio ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dio bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Neves's head backwards.
Neves on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dio swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Neves seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dio works Neves's body with a nice hook.
Dio avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Dio let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Dio tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Neves was well out of range. Poor timing from Dio.
Neves gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dio lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dio swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ronny James Dio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dio connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neves dives in and grabs Dio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dio pushes down on Neves's head and hops out.
Dio throws a counter combo.
Dio rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Neves moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Neves seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Dio lands a nice shot to the body.
Neves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dio paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dio! But no joy.

Neves misses with an uppercut. Dio saw that one coming.
Dio cracks Neves on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Neves falls backwards against the cage. Dio follows up with more strikes that drop Neves to his knees. Dio keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Neves! This one is all over!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hungary here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
