Villegas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Villegas is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Jones frees his head nicely. Oh but Villegas has switched to an armbar! Jones is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

DeLaurier is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
DeLaurier seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Destroyer for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I really don't envy Henderson right now.

Li is trying to stick to Henderson's back but Henderson is turning into Li. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Li's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Henderson.

I would just about give that final round to Wai Man Li.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erick Rootmans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rootmans comes into the arena with Busta Rhymes - Put your hands where my eyes can see blaring out of the sound system. Wyatt has chosen ''Broken Out In Love'' as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Jose looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jose closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Chouncheun swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jose.
Jose takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chouncheun is looking to slow Jose down with leg kicks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Jose counters with a shoot takedown. Chouncheun fights it but they end up in guard.
Chouncheun manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jose manages to get himself to full guard.


Jose had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chouncheun defends it easily.

Jose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chouncheun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Chouncheun will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Chouncheun not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Chouncheun loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jose throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chouncheun was covering up waiting for the punch and Jose finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jose keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chouncheun's head.
Jose must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jose slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jose looking to sit in guard and control but Chouncheun gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Chouncheun keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jose's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jose has an active guard here but Chouncheun has managed to pass into half guard.

Jose's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Jose gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Chouncheun gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

A relieved looking Timpurhkhum Chouncheun thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Gatherer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like John Monterrey has been cut.
Gatherer has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Nelson Fight Camp in the buildup to the fight.
Gatherer works Monterrey's body with a nice hook.
Monterrey on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Gatherer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gatherer throws out a leg kick but Monterrey moves out of range and Gatherer only half commits.
Gatherer throws a body kick that misses.
Monterrey misses with a wild body shot.
Gatherer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Monterrey.
Gatherer cracks Monterrey with an open hand slap.
Gatherer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Gatherer lands a big head kick that sends Monterrey tumbling to the mat! Gatherer takes a step backwards and waves Monterrey back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gatherer lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Monterrey up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Gatherer from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Monterrey's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Hunter Gatherer decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
