The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown rushes Franks and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Brown breaks the clinch.

Brown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Franks scores with a nice body kick.

Brown moves into range and clinches up with Franks.
Brown tries to pull guard but Franks won't allow it.

Brown gets control of Franks's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brown will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pappas sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Orgun moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Pappas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Orgun momentarily.
Pappas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Orgun moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Orgun misses with an attempted mid kick.
Orgun lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Orgun lands a nice looking body kick.
Pappas avoids a kick to the body.

We've been hearing good reports from Pappas's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Matthews has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
