Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Musial Stanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Fernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fernando's choice of entrance music: Miss Jackson. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernando shoots for a takedown but Stanson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Masada throws a left and a right that both miss

and Li decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Masada's guard.
Masada is looking to stand back up but Li counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Masada.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Masada is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Li scores with a couple of nice shots.
Li slips a nice elbow through Masada's hands, connecting with Masada's forehead.
We've been hearing that Li has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Li looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Masada with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Nelson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

We've been informed that Papu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Papu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nelson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Papu cracks Nelson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
