Sharp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gurgel walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Thanarat rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Gurgel has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.

Joaozinho Gurgel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thanarat keeps Gurgel at a distance using the push kick.

Gurgel is breathing heavily.
Gurgel tries to bum rush Thanarat with a series of wild strikes but Thanarat uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gurgel seems to have recovered his senses.
Thanarat is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gurgel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thanarat - the referee stops the clock and Gurgel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thanarat. Gurgel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
