The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Hensen blocks the leg kick.
Putin misses with an uppercut.
We've been told by Putin's head coaches at LOD - Phoenix Mixed Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hensen wants to clinch.
Hensen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Sven Hensen has been cut.
Putin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hensen.
Putin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Putin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Putin throws the left hand but Hensen avoids the punch easily.

Hensen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Putin.
Hensen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Hensen throws an elbow that misses.

Putin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Putin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hensen misses with an uppercut. Putin saw that one coming.
As Hensen tries to get set, Putin tries to push him back and clinch up but Hensen manages to avoid the attempt.

Putin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hensen on his heels. He'll look to pass Hensen's guard now, I'm sure.
Hensen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Putin controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hensen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Putin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hensen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Putin is aware though and is defending well.

Putin sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Hensen doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Putin paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Hensen - great work!

Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Wolek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wolek takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Lukasz Wolek has been cut.
Wolek loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Wolek.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Wolek is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith.
Wolek throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Smith throws a leg kick but Wolek checks it.
Wolek throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot.

Wolek drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Smith right on the button. Smith goes down! Wolek follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Wolek gets the win via TKO!
