The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Creighton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dragoon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Dragoon's coach down at School of Hard Knocks (Elite Training for $225) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dragoon's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capelli throws a right hand that Hayakawa ducks under and follows up with a left that Hayakawa also avoids with ease.
Hayakawa is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Capelli lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hayakawa circles away quickly and effectively.
Hayakawa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hayakawa checks the leg kick.
Hayakawa scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Capelli swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Hayakawa counters with a single leg into guard. Capelli didn't expect that.

Capelli manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Boromir feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Archer sprawling to the canvas! Archer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boromir finish him?!

Archer drops his hands momentarily. Boromir doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Archer staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Archer doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
