The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Palhares as he jumps to the side.
And Palhares tries to counter it with a takedown but Wayne pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wayne darts in looking for a takedown but Palhares gets double underhooks and turns Wayne into the cage.
Wayne throws the left hand but Palhares avoids the punch easily.
Palhares feints the counter takedown.
Palhares has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wayne is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Palhares closes the distance and clinches up with Wayne, looking for a takedown. Palhares pushes Wayne against the cage but Wayne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wayne throws a hook but Palhares avoids it easily.
Palhares fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wayne avoids it really well and circles away.
