Holm steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Nakahara's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Nakahara just didn't come prepared.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Diggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Volland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diggs's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, STILL BLAZIN. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Christian Volland was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christian Volland!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggs lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Volland throws a wild body kick that Diggs sees coming a mile off.
Volland slips under a jab.
Volland tries to clinch but Diggs moves out of range.
We've been told by Diggs's head coaches at Convicted Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Volland keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diggs has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diggs there as he acknowledges the shot.
Diggs blocks a head kick by Volland.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Diggs.
Diggs misses with a lunging right hand
and Volland makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Diggs really felt that one!
Diggs looks to land a left hand but Volland moved out of range nicely.
Volland takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Volland throws a shot from downtown. Diggs moves away and avoids it.
Volland has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Diggs loads up on a big right hand but Volland slips the punch.
Volland slips under a jab.
Volland moves out of range of the body kick from Diggs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diggs looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Diggs keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Diggs is looking to counter with head kicks.
Volland avoids a kick to the body.
Diggs scores with a jab.
Diggs pushes Volland away with a front kick.
Diggs pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Volland feints the counter takedown.

Volland throws a front kick that sends Diggs stumbling back into the ropes.
Volland moves out of range of the strikes.
Diggs loads up on a big right hand but Volland slips the punch.
Diggs misses with a looping left.
Diggs throws out a powerful jab.
Diggs avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Diggs misses with the body kick

and Volland counters with a shoot takedown. Diggs fights it but they end up in guard.
Volland pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diggs is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Volland passes into half guard.
Diggs wants to control but Volland is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Volland looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Volland is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diggs defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diggs is controlling Volland's trapped leg to prevent Volland from advancing to side control.
Diggs wants to control but Volland is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Volland wants to free his trapped foot but Diggs is holding on for dear life with his legs.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Volland is looking for a kimura but Diggs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Volland to get the leverage.
Volland passes to side control.
Diggs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Volland on the ground.

Volland is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Diggs looks calm but he's in trouble here. Volland gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Diggs is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Volland lets go of the hold and Diggs can pop his arm back in it's socket.
