Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Belliveau screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

A less than humble Steve Belliveau misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
In defeat, Octavio Saades stepped up to the mic, saying 'Getting to the final against a future legend was enough of a win for this guy!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKane looks to throw the jab but Epicity is out of range.

McKane keeps the fight on the outside.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McKane has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McKane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Epicity.
Epicity misses with a lunging right hand
and Epicity takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

McKane tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

It looks like Ozzy McKane has been cut.

enabling Epicity to counter with a crisp jab.
Epicity throws a big shot that misses.
A nice side step and McKane releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
McKane connects with a body shot that sends Epicity's belly button to the back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McKane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

McKane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
McKane throws a right and a left that both miss.

McKane gets a takedown into half guard.

McKane is trying to work for a kimura but Epicity is defending well.

Epicity is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and McKane has latched onto it... Big trouble! McKane pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Epicity is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from McKane!

Ozzy McKane spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Brynden Epicity had this to say: 'Is what it is. I came to fight, Ozzy is legit. I'll be back in the octagon in no time and will fight to destroy my opponent like I always do.'.
