The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Badger drops his hands momentarily and Wellman Iv takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Wellman Iv manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Badger on his heels. He'll look to pass Badger's guard now, I'm sure.

Mitsurugi cracks Brown with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mitsurugi has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brown to stand back up!

Mitsurugi cracks Brown on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Brown falls backwards against the cage. Mitsurugi follows up with more strikes that drop Brown to his knees. Mitsurugi keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Brown! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shinsuke Mitsurugi!
After the fight, Shinsuke Mitsurugi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Spaletti has an Americana. Sakurai didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Spaletti is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Spaletti hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
