These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyperion keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Halverson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hyperion throws a leg kick which misses Halverson's front leg but catches the back leg as Halverson tries to avoid it.
Hyperion misses with a looping left.
Hyperion tries to land a front kick but Halverson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hyperion comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Halverson throws a body shot but no joy.
Halverson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hyperion lands a nice hook to Halverson's body. Halverson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walcott keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Walcott throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Spice stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Spice dives in and scores a takedown into Walcott's guard.

Spice drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Walcott dives on top into guard.

Spice is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Yaj shoots in for a double leg but Blake sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Yaj throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Blake counters with a quick kick to the body but Yaj blocks it.
Yaj shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blake sprawls well. Blake wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yaj gets slowly back to his feet.
Edward Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rio Yaj.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kha has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
