The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gorfu manages to capitalize on a mistake by Swanson to take his back!

Swanson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gorfu gets his way!

Gniewek is pressed up against the cage. Morris has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gniewek down to the mat. Gniewek avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Morris has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gniewek is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Morris moves into range and clinches up with Gniewek.

Guel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smiths can't keep his opponent in guard - Guel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Smiths tries to roll over but Guel keeps him under control.

Guel has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Smiths defend it? Guel steps over the head and cranks it - Smiths is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Guel!
