These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Zmija scores with a nice head shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Zmija has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Machado wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

We've been hearing good reports from Machado's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bosch fires out a quick counter leg kick but Pariyar just manages to avoid it.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Bosch counters with a stiff right hand.

That has opened up Krishna Pariyar's cut even more.
Bosch connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Pariyar covering up! Bosch comes in with a big uppercut and Pariyar goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Bullwinkle tries to buck Gracie off so he can stand up but Gracie has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Bullwinkle falls backwards, slamming Gracie to the mat but Gracie holds on tight! Bullwinkle is forced to tap and this one is all over!
