Cuervo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pasha sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cuervo throws a lazy right hand but Pasha sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Cuervo.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Cuervo checks a leg kick.
Cuervo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pasha tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cuervo. Pasha does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pasha is keen to just control but Cuervo is a slippery customer.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Cuervo will probably get the nod.

Pasha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cuervo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pasha is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cuervo enables Pasha to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cuervo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cuervo is desperately trying to improve his position but Pasha has a good base and remains in mount.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jose Cuervo.
I think Cuervo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
