Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Funk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Funk might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Megadeth - Peace Sells (But Who's Buying?). Williams has chosen Get up on my Level as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zack Williams!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Funk was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Funk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Williams is one step ahead there.
Funk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams manages to get himself to full guard.

Funk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Funk lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Funk advances position into side control!
Funk wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy.

Funk in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Williams is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

A relieved looking Terrence Funk thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joachim Kroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kroll comes to the ring accompanied by Los Barrios . Thomas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shinedown - "State Of My Head" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Derrick Thomas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kroll closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Thomas did well to prevent Kroll getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Thomas tries to kick Kroll off but Kroll keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Thomas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kroll seems to be looking for submissions.
Thomas wants to improve his position but Kroll is controlling well.
