The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bello enables Piqueras to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bello manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bello pushes Piqueras off and scrambles back to his feet.
Antomio Piqueras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Runt throws a nice looking combination but Buhler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Runt was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Runt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Buhler.
Runt swings for the body but Buhler moves out of range.
Buhler let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Runt scores with a jab. Buhler acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
No joy there for Runt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice side step and Buhler releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Runt connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Runt misses with a looping left.
Buhler fails to land with a series of punches.
Runt throws out a powerful jab.

Buhler is rocked!
Runt closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Buhler out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Borjigin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Borjigin jerks Johnson's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Johnson drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Borjigin goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Borjigin because Johnson was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

That was a close round but I would say that Shoma Tanaka will probably get the nod.
