The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujita on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Hammer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fujita is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fujita is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hammer rolls with it to try and escape but Fujita cranks on the arm and Hammer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Heir kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya. El Chat has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Chat is looking to chop away at Heir's legs.
Heir really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Chat misses with a wild combination.
Heir drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chat sprawls and moves away.

Heir cracks Chat with a big elbow.
Chat is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Heir asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Chat is trying to escape the position but Heir is controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heir has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Heir seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chat for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BK misses with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that BK has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
BK chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shifter can pounce on him.
BK throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shifter.
And Shifter counters with a quick kick to the body but BK blocks it.
Shifter tries to score a power double leg takedown but BK sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shifter somewhat.
BK throws a hook but Shifter blocks it.
Shifter looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BK is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shifter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shifter's back!

Shifter has his feet on BK's thighs here. He's pushed BK off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! BK screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Tyrone goes for a double leg but Lokren avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lokren continues to drive forward.
A bone on bone clash there as Lokren blocks the leg kick.
Tyrone shoots in for a takedown but Lokren shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tyrone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
