Bishop drops Beefcake with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Beefcake looks back up at him and smiles so Bishop waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Beefcake gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Bishop points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Beefcake wakes up just in time to hear Bishop thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Kennamer comes to the cage accompanied by J.D. Sumner - Old Man River. Babineaux has chosen Ready or Not as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennamer blocks a jab.
Kennamer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kennamer dives in for a single leg takedown but Babineaux sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Babineaux fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kennamer manages to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kennamer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Babineaux's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kennamer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennamer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kennamer throws an elbow that misses. Babineaux uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kennamer's guard. Nice move by Babineaux!

Babineaux not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kennamer pulls Babineaux in to control the position.
Kennamer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Babineaux is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kennamer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Daniel Kennamer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Babineaux comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Babineaux misses the target.
Some bone on bone action there as Kennamer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Babineaux throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Huell Babineaux dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Babineaux comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Babineaux and Kennamer are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Babineaux throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Kennamer into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Babineaux knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Huell Babineaux! Huell Babineaux retains his heavyweight title!
