The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xerxes throws an off balance right hand
and Xerxes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Rostam Xerxes has been cut.

Man forces Xerxes back against the cage and clinches.
Xerxes swings wildly with an uppercut but Man uses good head movement to avoid it.
Xerxes misses with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Xerxes.
Xerxes blocking some punches.
Xerxes throws a head punch that misses.
Xerxes struggles to land a body shot inside as Man controls his hands.
Xerxes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Man is working Xerxes over against the cage.
Xerxes tries a body shot but Man blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Xerxes manages to break the clinch.
Man takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That has opened up Rostam Xerxes's cut even more.

Man lands a big right hand that sends Xerxes crashing to the mat! Man stays standing though and waves Xerxes back to his feet!

Shelton takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Shelton takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
