The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fed wants to clinch.

and Deathgrip counters with a takedown into side control.
Fed parries the strikes from Deathgrip easily there. Deathgrip is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fed to escape.
Deathgrip wants to control but Fed is keeping him busy.
The ground and pound from Deathgrip seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fed parries the strikes from Deathgrip easily there. Deathgrip is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fed to escape.

Deathgrip is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fed can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Fed is desperately trying to improve his position but Deathgrip has a good base and remains in mount.

Deathgrip postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fed looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fed tries to lock up and control but Deathgrip gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Deathgrip wants to control the pace but Fed is squirming around nicely.

Deathgrip avoids the attempt from Fed to control.
Fed is trying desperately to improve position.
Deathgrip breaks from Fed's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Deathgrip can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fed is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Deathgrip cracks Fed with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fed tries to clinch but Deathgrip moves away

so Deathgrip counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Deathgrip works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Deathgrip is trying to control. Fed wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Fed pushes Deathgrip off looking to stand but Deathgrip dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deathgrip drops an elbow to the side of Fed's head.
Deathgrip looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fed with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Deathgrip is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Deathgrip has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deathgrip lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Deathgrip! Fed is hurt baaadly! Deathgrip is firing away with more strikes - Fed is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
