Hess decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jackson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Hess goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Jackson turns into him and now he's in Hess's guard.
Hess seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
