Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Tran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jenson George!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Tran.

George changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tran looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tran tries to bench press George off him but George keeps the position.
Tran wants to control but George postures up.

Tran explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
No luck for Tran with that takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from George.
Tran is looking for a counter combo.
Tran goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

George gets a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

George gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tran regains guard.

Tran throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tran is looking to stand up but George isn't so interested in that idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tran had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. George defends it easily.

George stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Excellent takedown into side control there by George.
Tran struggling a bit here.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tran is looking to reverse the position.
Tran regains half guard.
Tran is breathing heavily.
Tran punching from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

George is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tran defends it well.
George works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tran wants to hold on but George pushes him away.

George is working for a guillotine from mount but Tran frees his head quite easily.
George looking to finish with strikes here!
Tran's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Tran wants to hold on but George pushes him away.
George trying to control but Tran is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tran tries to hold on but George postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tran is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because George is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
George controlling from the full mount.
Tran suckers George into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Tran is now in George's guard!
George is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jenson George dominated that round.
That's time! Tran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



George darts in and clinches Tran up against the cage.
George wants to break free but Tran has control.
Tran wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Tran is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

George manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
George controls Tran momentarily but Tran frees himself.
Tran trying to stand up but can't free himself from George's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tran won't allow George to sweep him here.
Tran wants to control from the top but George keeps moving.

George wants to stand but Tran is controlling the position.
Tran trying to control but George is working from the bottom.
Tran is really struggling to control George but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Tran is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tran fails to land the takedown.

Tran tries to keep at a distance but George has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

George has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Tran regains guard immediately.
Tran is wriggling around but George manages to pass to half guard.

George has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tran is looking for a sweep. George is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
George seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tran wants to control but George is keeping busy.
Jenson George has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
George throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
George throwing shots but Tran is blocking nicely.
George seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tran does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

George is working for a kimura but Tran is defending it quite comfortably.
George is thwarting Tran's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
George controlling the action here.
George's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
George is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
George tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jenson George showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Nice defenses there by Tran.

George drives through with a takedown into Tran's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Tran uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jenson George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

George closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - George lands in his opponent's guard.

George stands up from guard. Let's bang!
George throws a half hearted mid kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tran enables George to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tran manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
George content to stall in guard here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tran looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tran working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from George.
Tran will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
George trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
George passes easily into side control. Nice work.
George looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Tran is avoiding damage well.
You can see the frustration on Tran's face as George controls the position.
George tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

George thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

George working away.
George is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tran will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Tran wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
George ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

George shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tran is trying to defend but George finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
George is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Tran is rocked!

George is controlling the pace.
Oh Tran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tran seems to have got his legs back now.
George works his way into full mount!

Tran tries to hold on but George postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

George jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Tran manages to avoid the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jenson George comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got George winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
