The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Spong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Spong has hold of Squanch's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Squanch tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Spong cranks the arm and Squanch screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Squanch, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Chance Spong!
A very excited looking Chance Spong made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Dall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lavronenko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lavronenko.
Dall lands a nice shot that snaps Lavronenko's head back.

Lavronenko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hyryx Dall will probably get the nod.

and Dall counters with a nice right hand that sends Lavronenko toppling to the canvas! Lavronenko scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Dall finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lavronenko throws a lazy right hand but Dall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lavronenko walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Lavronenko limp body while Dall jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Hightower is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Aoki still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Aoki has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Bombs fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Minasian has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Minasian throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Bombs was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Bombs moves into range and clinches up with Minasian.
