The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Geeson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Arthur to the mat! Arthur manages to get full guard.
Arthur wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arthur is on top in guard.

Arthur's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Newton on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Smaug. Smaug obviously looking to wear him down.
Newton has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Smaug.
Newton has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Good standup being displayed there by Newton as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Cinder Smaug has been cut.

Newton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smaug circles away quickly and effectively.
Smaug is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Newton.
Smaug bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Newton's head.
Newton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
