Undercard bout

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eliah Marshal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshal comes to the cage accompanied by "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA. Eliah Marshal had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshal shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Koski is looking to control Marshal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koski avoid being mounted?
Marshal wants to pass the guard but Koski is defending well.

Koski has Marshal pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Koski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Marshal tumbling to the mat - Koski dives into Marshal's guard.

Cropp connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Sammich tumbling to the canvas! Cropp pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Sammich was done - good stoppage!

Maximus looks to land a right hand but Burns moved out of range.
Burns rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Maximus to counter with a crisp jab.
Burns works the jab nicely.
Burns throws a body shot but no joy.
Maximus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Burns throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maximus looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Burns thows a left - swing and a miss!
Maximus appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Maximus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Burns.
Maximus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maximus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Burns is looking to wear down Maximus with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Maximus throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

A nice side step and Maximus releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Maximus loads up on a big right hand but Burns slips the punch.

Maximus lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Maximus darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Maximus takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Burns throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Maximus counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Maximus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
An attempted straight right counter from Burns misses the target.
Burns moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Maximus lands a nice shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maximus lands a big right hand that sends Burns crashing to the mat! Maximus stays standing though and waves Burns back to his feet!

Maximus shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Burns takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Maximus sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Burns bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
