The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swann misses with a lunging right hand
and Small counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Swann thinking.
We've been informed that Small has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Small with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Swann to score with a decent uppercut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ross Swann.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Bryant as he connects with a hook.

Rutten lands a head kick. Bryant smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Gerbert Bryant has been cut.
Bryant throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bryant has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Rutten on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rutten lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bryant catches Rutten with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bryant lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bryant tries to move into range but Rutten moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rutten takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rutten is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A head kick misses from Rutten.
Bryant throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rutten stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bryant drops Rutten with a straight right hand, right on the button! Bryant follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
